The 2nd auction of 2026 saw the market up again with strong competition across all types on a larger offering of 149 Tons. Prices were extreme in Rand terms, with good competition from all buyers. Increasing by up to 8% on the Young goat types. Combined with the Rand strength some prices were 12% dearer in USD terms.

Compared to the last auction:

Kids – 4% dearer

Young Goats – 8% dearer

Adults – 2-5% dearer

 

The next auction will be held on 17th March 2026.
