The 4th sale of the Cape winter season saw strong competition again, with an offering of 183,507kgs resulting in a clearance of 99%. With the USD/SAR remaining more or less unchanged, the market rose up to 9% on Young Goat types. The Basuto sale was held on Monday 20th October, the market saw extreme price increases again, with prices 10-15% dearer. There seems to be continued demand in all sectors.

 

Kids 1% dearer

Young Goats 7-9% dearer

Adults 2-3% dearer

 

The next auction will be held 11th November 2025.
